A New Year’s Message for a True Friend

"There are large ships and small ships, but the greatest ship of all is friendship."

Our friends circle changes as we mature, cause we start to separate what's real from what's just real fun. Going out and hanging out doesn't make you real friends.

Growing up together and knowing each other 10 years doest not make you friends. Being the best of coworkers don't make you friends.

Even being sisters, brothers and cousins don't make you friends. It's the level of your loyalty, consistency, values, dependability and support that makes y'all friends.

A lot of peope hang out good on a regular basis, but can't count on each other when you need them the most.

So understand that it's nothing personal. Sometimes you outgrow your old interests and people. Don't let history dictate your growing process.

You are not acting funny. You have elevated to the reality and perspective of what a real friend is.

Has anyone ever told you how much brighter the world is just because you’re in it? Because for me, you're my absolute best friend in the whole world. You’re my safe place, and the one I trust more than anyone else. 🤗
